Experience Milk’s Truest Form
PREMIUM - A2A2 RAW GUERNSEY-COW MILK
Most milk at the grocery store has been heated, pressurised, blended, and shipped across three states. Ours hasn't. We don't pasteurise. We don't homogenise. We don't cut costs on feed, compromise on testing, or use plastic bottles. Every decision we make runs through the same filter: is this genuinely the best we can do for these animals and the families who drink this milk? If the answer is no, we don't do it.
What 'Premium' Actually Means on a Dairy Farm
Golden Guernsey cows are a heritage breed — smaller herd numbers, quieter temperament, and milk that is genuinely different from commodity dairy. Naturally higher in beta-carotene (that's where the golden colour comes from), richer in fat-soluble vitamins, and produced in smaller, more careful volumes.
Our herd is DNA-certified A2A2 — meaning the milk contains only the A2 beta-casein protein, structurally closer to human breast milk than the A1 protein found in most commercial dairy. Many people who experience discomfort, bloating, or inflammation with regular milk — including store-bought 'A2 milk' — find raw A2A2 Guernsey milk from a grass-fed, soy-free herd to be an entirely different experience.
We're not making medical claims. We're telling you what our herdshare families tell us, consistently, month after month: something is different about this milk. And they're right.
"We tried everything. Nothing worked — until we tried this milk."
This came from a real conversation with a family who had spent years trying lactose-free, plant-based, and store-bought A2. Nothing helped. The bloating, the discomfort, the mornings that started wrong before they even started — all of it persisted.
Then they found raw Golden Guernsey milk from a small farm with organic feed, no soy, and nothing added or removed. Within a few weeks, digestion improved. Sleep improved. Energy came back in a way that surprised them.
They've been with us since. They're not unusual. They're most of our herd share families.
"Neither of us had ever touched a cow in our lives."
When this farm came available in Wingate, something in us said: this is it. We weren't farmers. We had no agricultural background. What we had was a deep frustration with the food system, a belief that families in Charlotte deserved better, and the stubbornness to figure it out.
We took over every responsible practice already in place — and then raised the bar. Organic feed. No soy. Year-round pasture. Glass bottles. Expanded vet testing. These weren't marketing decisions. They were the only decisions that felt right once we were actually standing in the pasture at 5am with six Guernsey cows depending on us.
Today, VenAya Farms is the only dedicated source of fresh raw Golden Guernsey A2A2 milk serving the Charlotte area. We're proud of that. We're also aware that we have to earn it every single morning.
We Test So You Don't Have to Wonder
If you're trusting us with your family's food, the least we can do is show you exactly what we know about our herd's health. We screen for every major bovine disease annually with a licensed veterinarian, run weekly mastitis checks on-farm, and send quarterly milk panels to Dairy One Lab for independent third-party analysis. Every result gets published. No cherry-picking. No vague reassurances.
